Mazal Tov to Shira & David on the birth this afternoon of a baby boy. He weighs in at about 2.9 kilo and mother & baby are doing well. Shira went to work as usual this morning at Sha'arei Zedek hospital so when it came time to give birth, she was already in the hospital. (I wonder if Shira gets paid for today...actually she should get paid overtime because she didn't sign out yet.)
Mazal Tov also to the grandparents...Hilda & I and Zippie & Oded Ben David and also to the baby's brothers Yishai & Amichai and to the whole family.
Ben adds on July 5th...
The Brith was held in a Beth Knesset & Hall in Ofra this morning and everything was carried out beautifully. The baby now sports the name Elad Shlomo (Shlomo is after Hilda's father Z"L). and the ceremony was followed by a most delicious breakfast catered by Holy Bagels. After the pancakes, and bagels and tuna and salads and cakes, I certainly didn't have any room left later for lunch. The whole affair was concluded with a dvar torah by David.
Mazal Tov to Zevi, the son of Avi & Sharona Litwin, who celebrated his Bar Mitzvah on Shabbat Parashat Beha'alotcha, the 13th of June. The Bar Mitzvah took place at Congregation Beth Israel on West Fortieth St. in Miami Beach and was followed by a Kiddush (which I'm sure was scrumptious).Mazal Tov to the entire family.

In a real "freilach" and "lebidic" celebration, Daniel, the son of Rabbi Steve & Estie Solomon and Tzivia, the daughter of Rabbi & Mrs. Chizkiyohu Lubin got married on March 16th at Armonot Chen in Bnei Brak.
It was great fun seeing and getting to chat with the relatives again. I would hazard a guess that the cousin who travelled the furthest to get here for the wedding was Rabbi Raphie Tennenhaus, Estie's brother, who came all the way from Florida.
The food was delicious, the music was great and the dancing was lively... what more could you ask for!
Mazal Tov to Daniel & Tzivia and to the families on both sides.
