Here are comments and things from our cousins far and near...
Manuel Sand writes on Aug. 21st about an achievement of Louis Drazin in Montreal...
A real first in the family was held last night Aug.20th, when approx 150 Rabbis, friends, and family gathered to celebrate the "siyum hashas" (completion of learning the complete shas) by Louis Drazin. Seven and a half years of concentrated learning, determination, and persistence is what it took to achieve this goal and milestone. For all of us who participate in Sheurim either steadily or time to time, we can really appreciate the achievement, and we all join in congratulating Louis and wishing him continued success in his learning. We had the pleasure of celebrating Ruthy Messer's birthday in Passaic NJ this past Sunday at our home - a few dozen family members came to celebrate, and a good BBQ was had by all! We watched a beautiful Birthday Tribute video, and a hilarious quiz show: "Who Knows Ruthy Best" which proves which of her siblings knows her best... May we continue to celebrate many more birthdays until 120!

While reviewing the Cousins' Address & Phone Book file, I noticed that a lot of Israeli addresses do not include the zip code. This will result in a delay of postal mail being delivered to those addresses. If yours is one of the addresses without a zip code included, I would recommend that you e-mail to me your zip code ASAP so that it will be included in the next edition of the Cousins' list which will be distributed next month. This is to let you know that this past Wednesday, I arrived back in Israel from New York on the Nefesh B’Nefesh Group Aliyah flight. This past trial year has been very successful. The people are great and I now know what it means when people welcome you home when arriving in Israel. From my interpretation it means that everybody here is your family and everybody cares. Ever take a taxi ride in Israel and in the 10-15 minute duration get a whole lot of opinions from the driver what you should be doing in life? It also is a huge benefit to have my brother and family living here as well as amazing cousins.

We are deeply moved and proud to announce that today is Shira’s 4th birthday! The last 4 years have been years that we would never wish upon anyone yet we are thankful, grateful and feel truly blessed by our daughter Shira. Shira is beautiful, happy, and smart but more than that Shira is a human being like all of us reading this not just a sick kid.
