Tears Laughter and Joy

Like a shadow in the full moonlight
A river flows to the ocean

A maiden, flowing with the current
Spots a weary traveler
Riding through the forest

He is L O S T
But growing on the surface

She coaxes him through the briars
Yet, in her wariness of inexperience
The traveler decides to bask on the surface
And languish the scratches

The maiden
Hearing the distant calling of the traveler
Scorns their magnatism

Distraught - -

The maiden sheds her ego
as not to frighten him
deeper into the forest
And she cators to the scorn

As she sheds a tear

Paddling on
Knowing, she will thrist . . . . . .

PART 2

As she slowly drifts downstream
And turns the bend

The travler knows
The current has become stronger

And, he warmly greets her with a smile
As she washes ashore

Through honesty
He fills their cup with drink
and it spills onto her breast

And through his laughter
she is WET with JOY !!

BLOOD

I feel the blood surge through my body
a cold hard feeling
not unlike that of a knife cutting through flesh
The blood pours forth, I cannot stop it
My tears,my sweat, all a blood red
But the blood that flows from me
Makes me not weak, but strong
for it is this blood that I give for you

The mind is strong but the flesh is weak
And it puts an end to my winning streak
My blood is for you to do with what you will
to turn it to life or move in for the kill
But I know in my heart the choice you will make
To give me back life, my soul to re-take
The flesh becomes strong and the mind even stronger
But we never know if the moment will last longer

We hesitate and fall or rise to the challenge
To put ourselves together and see where the wall ends
The defenses inside we keep to stand guard
Against all that we're unsure of
in life's little game
for its when the walls are broken down
That the true construction of the human heart begins
SCM

St. Elmo's Fire

let me sail
to the depths fo your soul
let me anchor
as near as I can be to your heart
trust in me
with your safe harbor
the listless waters lap your beaches
I am for you
bourne by the thought
of just one dizzying kiss
I skirt the shores
of your sensuous continent

Naming The Chord

beauty is a feeling
not a rose
in one's mind grows
into a chord
of magnificent colors
and plucked or strummed
its's always the same
heart-shaped and beating
I have no name
mistaken chord believes
its anonymity makes it free
like the dove who flies to the highest
keeps his face to the sun
and longs for no company
but freedom is a feeling
not a dove
so I've given the chord a name
and its name is . . . LOVE

Candles

The blackness inside weighs more than
the world I wish I could erase it
. . . but I can't . . .
I'm too filthy ,filty with self hate
I wish you would fill me
cause right now I am empty
I need something to make me live
I kill myself slowly punishing myself with life
I'm dead inside turning anger inward
I burn the candles of self hate
I can't see but it is okay
The hate radiating from you will light the way
I've never really stood on my own
I need somthing to make me stand
I hold the torch within and examine my life inside
I dont like what I see turning hostility
inward I burn the candle of self hate.

The Starfish

Once upon a time there was a wise man
who used to go to the ocean to do his writing.
He had a habit of walking on the beach
before he began his work.

One day he was walking along the shore.
As he looked down the beach, he saw a
human figure moving like a dancer.
He smiled to himself to think of someone
who would dance to the day. So he began
to walk faster to catch up.

As he got closer, he saw that it was a young man
and the young man wasn't dancing
but instead he was reaching down to the shore,
picking up something and very gently throwing it into the ocean.

As he got closer he called out
"Good morning! What are you doing?"

The young man paused, looked up and replied
"Throwing starfish in the ocean."

"I guess I should have asked
why are you throwing starfish in the ocean?"

"The sun is up, and the tide is going out
And if I don't throw them in they'll die."

"But, young man, don't you realize that there are
miles and miles of beach, and starfish all along it
You can't possibly make a difference!"

The young man listened politely. Then bent down
picked another starfish and threw it into the sea
past the breaking waves and said,
"It made a difference for that one." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

There is something very special in each and every one of us
We have all been gifted with the ability to make a difference
And if we can become aware of that gift
we gain through the strength of our visions
the power to shape the future.

We must each find our starfish. And if we throw our stars
wisely and well, the world will be blessed.
