On The Road Again
Or, Mom is Gonna Kill Me For This
In August of 1998, Mom accompanied me travelling to Palo Alto, California, to start my next contract with Lucile Salter Packard Children's Hospital. We first traveled north to Omaha, Nebraska and visited Sister Mary Adrian's grave. We then headed west on I-80, and anyone who has ever complained about western Kansas has never been across Nebraska. Nebraska gave way to Wyoming, and on the second day, after speeding through Salt Lake City so Mom couldn't get out of the car, we reached the Bonneville Salt Flats.

Here's an extremely flattering picture of Mom trying to get a little salt as a souvenir...before I figured out an easier way!

It's NOT a snowball, but a salt ball...
