This is Madras in visuals.  I have tried to give a reasonably good perspective of the landmarks of Madras.  Some of these photographs are more than landmarks - they are Madras, in all its color, blending in the old and the new, the conservative and the radical, the ancient and the modern, the mute and the voiced, the transitory and the immortal.     

Moving from the architectural brilliance of madras, we pass on to the quintessence of Madras. WHAT IS MADRAS WITHOUT ITS TEMPLES.... OF WORSHIP - Madras is replete with a complete array of places of worship of all religion. This makes this city the most secular of all places in the world as well as the country. Temples, Churches, Mosques, Gurdhwaaraas, Jain Dhams, Buddhist Monastries - u have them all.
