The Mugello Valley
In the north of Tuscany there are interesting Valleys but one of the most famous is the Mugello Valley.
This Valley offers characteristic villages, surronded by dark cypresses, quite brooks, Romanesque churches, medieval castles, soaring towers.

Vicchio: this village nestling in green foothills offers several touristic places of  interest.
-The House of Giotto -Vicchio is the birthplace of two important painters -Giotto (1267-1337) and Beato Angelico (1395-1455).This house is became an interesting museum.
-The village's center- The main piazza of Vicchio offers a modern Statue of Giotto, walls and a tower of 14° century.
-The Lake- just near the center a lake to relax, fishing and sunbathing.
With the swimming-pool, the tennis-court, the trekking ring and the fashionable countryside Vicchio is the ideal place where spending the next holiday!

How to reach Mugello Valley
-From Florence : you can take the Sita coaches (the terminal stop is near the S.Maria Station in Florence),by train you take the train from Florence to Borgo S.Lorenzo or by car you  take the Via Bolognese or Via Faentina.
-From the other Italian cities: you can take the motorway and  exit at Barberino di Mugello.

This Villages are immersed in a green countryside  scattered with Rennaissance Villas and historical churches.

Scarperia: world famous for the International Autodromo of Mugello, offers a wonderful center with the magnificient Palazzo dei Vicari.
Amid Barberino di Mugello and S.Piero a Sieve you can find The Cafaggiolo Castle the summer residence of the Medici Family.
