Letter to Ohman from Hans Voigt

16 May, 1910 regarding Gunder Johnson's statement that Ohman had carved runes for him.

Letter from Hans Voigt, McIntosh, Polk County, Minn. [Translation] 16 May, 1910.
Mr. Olof Ohman:
I clip this from the Decorah Post, and send it with the following remarks. Is the Gunder Johnson, in Brandon, who has started this rumor, that you used to amuse yourself with writing runes, the same as the Junder Johnson, Hojbergsner, from the town of Mo? If so, then the house referred to was built for him by you in 1882, and I was there and painted it; and if this is so, the I believe you remember me. I had, in fact, a wedding down thre, and you were present. At that time I made on a piece of wood some marks which were, after a fashion, to represent runes, as he says. So it seem s to me that it is this incident which has popped up in Mr. Johnson's memory. If this is reight, then let me hear from you. I had long forgotten your name.
Hans Voigt.
