Recently I asked some Aussies about Aborigines and their life style today. Here are some answers I got :
- There are a few Aboriginies living part of their lives in traditional
ways. Most tend to live in towns or cities but some still go out into
the bush for periods of time to live their traditional lives. A good
percentage of Aboriginals try to preserve their customs and history.
- There are actually aboriginals that live in the outback maybe not wild
as such but, they still carry out their traditional living patterns but
they may live in missionaries or settlements buitl by the government.
- Yeah there are in some remote parts of Australia...But most of them have
some sort of contact with doctors / wild life officers etc...If your
asking is there any Aborigines that have not seen white people before
then the answer is no...Is there aborigines who prefer to live in remote
places on Australia, yes.
- I think there are still some tribes living in the wild
in the Northern Territory and parts of Western Australia. I think they
still live off the land the way their ancestors did.
- Yes there are still some aboriginals who live out in the bush.
They feel that it is a better lifestyle. Alot of Native Australians live in the citys now too though.
- Some
do still live way out in the bush but they aren't like those tribes you
find in Africa and South America, they have discovered the joys of
television and going to the toilet indoors.
