Gràcies per la propina, Francesc Bellmunt´s latest
film.
Gràcies per la propina. Sinopsys:
The story of an odd family in which two uncles, apparently
bachelors, play the roles of both father and mother to their two orphan nephews . A
repressive school, an omnipresent church and law force, peaceful brothels and cafés full
of warmth are just some of the backdrops to this film which narrates the childhood and
adolescent memories of Ferran Torres and his brother Pepín, in the Valencia of the 60s
and 70s. A city and a time when almost anything was possible, and nothing surprised
anyone. A tender story, full of humour and seduction.
Other films by Francesc Bellmunt: L´orgia, La quinta
del porro, Pa d´àngel, Un parell d´ous

Angoixa, a film directed by Bigas Luna.

A movie audience is absorbed in a horror flick where the psycho's
favorite pastime is carving out his victim's eyeballs. Too bad the kid selling popcorn has
a habit of imitating movie characters.

Carícies, based on the play by Sergi Belbel.
Carícies. Synopsis:
The city, restless, at night. A chain of eleven stories complete a
circle, linked by characters with different relationships: couples, mother-daughter,
friends, brother-sisters, young-old people, father-son, lovers, father-daughter,
mother-son, who cannot manage to communicate through love, to caress. It is set in the
present, at the end of this millennium.
These are naked moments in which human beings show their most intense emotions, as well as
their basest instincts, love/hate, but also love in its many forms. Despite proximity,
people can be total strangers. They can talk without listening, listen without feeling and
act without thinking. But there can also be a spark of hope, of communication, a few
caresses.

Actresses. Another great film by Ventura Pons.
Actrius. Synopsis:
A young drama student interviews three great actresses: an
international diva, a television star and a dubbing director, and she discovers, in their
memories, the grandeur and the misery of theatre: a real metaphor of life.
