EYAM HALL

Our family is the latest of a long line of Wrights who have been fortunate enough to live in this beautiful house for over 320 years. In 1990 we inherited the house and two years later opened it to the public to share our home and its history with interested visitors.

We sincerely hope that you enjoy your visit to Eyam Hall as much as we appreciate living here.

Robert, Nicola, Jeremy, Felicity and Timothy Wright

Eyam Hall has been the much loved home of the Wright Family for over 300 years. A guided tour of this remarkably unspoiled 17th century manor house affords a glimpse of history in miniature. Under the watchful gaze of Wright ancestors, you will see the impressive stone flagged hall, the tapestry room, the bedroom with its magnificent tester bed and family costumes and much, much more

Treat yourself to a delicious light lunch or a mouth watering home baked cake at the Eyam Hall Buttery. Now expanded to provide extra seating for large parties and with ground floor service. Buttery retains all the fascinating features of its 17th century origins. The Buttery may be booked for private functions or buffet meals. Takaway service for local holiday accommodation.

Visit Saddlebacks gift shop for a varied range of interesting and unusual local crafts, mouth watering edible gifts and a wide selection of general gifts. Just the place for a present with a difference.

Experience Christmas in Eyam Hall as it was in Victorian times. Costumed guides will take you round the house, decorated for a festive 19th century Christmas and describe how Peter Wright and his family enjoyed a traditional Christmas.

Available 28th November - 12th December. Pre-booking essential. Prices on request.

A varied programme of concerts and plays is produced every season at Eyam Hall. An intimate atmosphere prevails at these concerts, with refreshments and a chance to meet the artists afterwards. Outdoor plays and concerts take place in the delightful walled garden, with an opportunity to picnic there beforehand. Details and ticket prices on request.

Access to Eyam Hall

Eyam Hall is located in the center of the village of Eyam, just off the A623. From Country Cottage, a convenient route would be to take the A523T to Ashbourne (turn left on the main road), and then take the A515 north until one reaches the A5270. Turn right on the A5270 and follow it to its end at the A6. Turn right (East) on the A6, and almost immediately turn left into the B6049, which is signposted Tideswell. Continue through Tideswell until you reach the A623. Turn right (East) on the A623, and continue about 4 miles until you meet the B6521 on the left, already signposted Eyam. The village and the house are a short distance along this road.
