Fairfield Opens Daytona Resort!
LITTLE ROCK, Ark.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 15, 1999--Fairfield Communities, Inc. (NYSE:FFD) announced plans to add 124 vacation ownership villas in Daytona Beach, Florida, to its portfolio of properties. The villas are part of the 19-story oceanfront complex known as Ocean Walk Resort. Sales of the Fairfield villas at the resort commenced in the third quarter of 1999 and the first guests arrived in 2000. Ocean Walk Resort is located on a stretch of beachfront property that is zoned exclusively for pedestrians and permanently closed to all motor vehicle traffic. heated swimming pools, a large heated whirlpool spa and a health and fitness center complete with an exercise room, golf training simulation center, and game room. The complex also includes an 80,000 square foot space for restaurants and specialty shops.
