그해 겨울의 눈 (이형기)
The winter snow of that year
그해 겨울의 눈은
Always be falling down on the sea water at mid-night.
언제나 한밤중 바다에 내렸다.
Like to be a pale-white by lightening on the darkness of mid-night,
희부옇게 한밤중 어둠을 밝히듯,
The fireflys of a dead summer, all together
죽은 여름의 반디벌레들이 일제히
Be flying dizzily on the darkness with the cold glowing.
싸늘한 불빛으로 어지럽게 흩날렸다.
The snow flakes do not melt-down on the sea water.
눈송이는 바다에 녹지 않았다.
Before the melt-down of some flakes, some others are falling on over themselves.
녹기전에 또 다른 송이가 떨어졌다.
With both of them, the disappearing and appearing
사라짐과 나타남
And to be turning around with the appearing and disappearing together,
나타남과 사라짐이 함께 돌아가는
The fantastic films of silent-picture ages.
무성영화 시대의 환상의 필름.
To see that their own life is no value
덧없는 목숨을
The drama of winter snow be played to die-hard on the darkness.
혼신의 힘으로 확인하는 드라마
And a scene only with a climax
클라이맥스 밖에 없는 화면들이
It's fully filled on the screen without any audience.
관객없는 스크린을 가득 채웠다.
Always to be falling on sea water at mid-night
언제나 한밤중에 바다에 내린
The winter snow of that year
그해 겨울의 눈
It should be a waste more beautifull and splendid than flowers.
그것은 꽃보다도 화려한 낭비였다.
