Quiksilver was founded in the USA by surfing legend Jeff Hakman (Mr. Sunset) and a couple of friends, and then moved into Europe, Brazil, Japan, South Africa and even Asia…In the twenty-five years since, Quiksilver has become the premier name in surf wear worldwide, and the range of products has expanded steadily.
Today Quiksilver make everything from boardshorts to wetsuits and technical snowboard apparel. Some of the world’s best surfers and snowboarders use Quiksilver gear. To keep their designs on the updated edge of fashion and function, they maintain close contact with an army of famous and underground surfers, snowboarders, and skiers. They are Quiksilver’s test pilots, Quiksilver’s ambassadors. They report changing attitudes in the water, on the beach up the mountain – where it matters.

Quiksilver put back in too, to the sports that have fuelled their success, from an extensive series of junior and amateur contests to major events like the Quiksilver Eddie Aikau Memorial Big Wave Contest at Waimea Bay Hawai’i, the Quiksilver Pro WCT Grade 2 event, on the Southern tip of the island of Java, and the Quiksilver Air and Style snowboard event at Innsbruck.
