 These steps are a few of the 307 that wind through town up to (or down from, if you're smart enough to take a taxi up) the castle on the island of Leros. The castle itself is nothing spectacular, but the view from it is priceless. |
 I saw this fallen pillar in kind of a marble ruin graveyard on the island of Kos in Greece. It amazes me that the ancient Greeks would spend so much time carving intricate details in solid stone yet builders today act so put out when requested to apply just another coat of paint. |
