Here are a few miscellaneous pictures from the trip. Be sure to check out the stories from the main page, too!

These steps are a few of the 307 that wind through town up to (or down from, if you're smart enough to take a taxi up) the castle on the island of Leros. The castle itself is nothing spectacular, but the view from it is priceless.

I saw this fallen pillar in kind of a marble ruin graveyard on the island of Kos in Greece. It amazes me that the ancient Greeks would spend so much time carving intricate details in solid stone yet builders today act so put out when requested to apply just another coat of paint.

Here I am relaxing on board the 49' sailboat that would be my home for the next two weeks.

This is me at a theater in Turkey. It's not quite as comfortable as The Seattle Rep but it won hands down on ambiance.

It wasn't all sight-seeing and running around. I read my fair share of books while basking in the warm sun.

It wasn't blindingly sunny 24 hours a day but it was always beautiful. This is a view from the top of Patmos out at some of the smaller islands.

I have to learn how to photograph sunsets, but trust me when I tell you that this one was incredible. My friend, Ross, stands strong against the wind below.

We stopped at a couple different ports on the island of Leros. This one was of the larger ports, complete with scooter rental and two tavernas right on the beach.
