Some playground at a rest area, clearly, although now I can't remember where this one was. That's what I get for waiting about six months before posting this page, I guess.

The inside of the same rest area. I remember that much, anyway. And this was in Illinois. And it was kind of creepy in there. I didn't use a flash, but surprisingly it looked pretty much just like this in there anyway.
3. Camera 4, Image 3
I guess this explains which rest area I took these last few pictures in. Oops.

I tried to get a picture of this gigantic dance hall off of the interstate, but I was a tad late on the draw I think. The hurry made me blur the image, which is a shame. But yes, that white building is a big dance hall.

More of the open road. Yep, saw a lot of this.
6. Camera 4, Image 6
More vast fields. Yep, saw a lot of this.
7. Camera 4, Image 7
There's a little dog in this car that I think you can see in the picture. He was highly agitated. Also, some sort of vast construction project was underway at this stop, and you can see a little of that in the background.

Up there in the trees is the rest area I took a picture from back on camera #1. You don't really get a feel for how high up it was here, but at least the grass looks like it was mown in crop circles.

That sign says "GET IT ON!" in reference to helmets, but we can pretend it's not about helmets and it's funnier.
10. Camera 4, Image 10
Very pretty autumn colors by the side of the interstate.
11. Camera 4, Image 11
Oops.
12. Camera 4, Image 12
Yet more open road.
13. Camera 4, Image 13
The sign in front of that hotel used to say "Days Inn," but I guess they got bought out and now it just says " Inn." And they blacked out the sun. Classy.
14. Camera 4, Image 14
For a while, I thought maybe the cute girl in this car that just passed me was an enemy agent. She followed me pretty closely for a long time, but I guess she just wasn't paying attention.
15. Camera 4, Image 15
I bet you're glad I finally got these pictures up.

"Take It on the Run, Part One: Carlock, Illinois." While scanning the radio stations hoping to find some REO Speedwagon, I actually did right as I was exiting the interstate to get a soda in Carlock, Illinois. Look at that fat bastard.
17. Camera 4, Image 17
That's Carlock Elementary School, right across from the gas station. I figured Carlock probably doesn't get a lot of love on the internet, so I decided to take some more pictures there.
18. Camera 4, Image 18
Every morning, some guy who lives in the little apartment whose front step I was standing on leaves his apartment and sees something like this. Once again, this is Carlock.
19. Camera 4, Image 19
Carlock Mennonite Church. I hadn't really seen a Mennonite Church before, so I took a picture. On my way out of town, I saw a sign for a church in another town, and guess what? That one is Mennonite, too. Guess that's popular in the general Carlock area.
20. Camera 4, Image 20
There's a reason I took this picture, but I can't for the life of me think of what it was.
21. Camera 4, Image 21
This rest area had a massive parking lot. Not sure why there was so much attention lavished on this particular rest area, but there you go.
22. Camera 4, Image 22
Same place. It has some interesting design.
23. Camera 4, Image 23
That sign in the field says "Guns Save Lives.com." I saw a ton of these in Illinois.
24. Camera 4, Image 24
More pretty fall colors, and a stalled car.
25. Camera 4, Image 25
I wish I had had enough time to go find this place and take pictures of it, because it looked pretty damned scary from the interstate. This picture doesn't do it justice.
26. Camera 4, Image 26
So I stopped at the first rest area after the Illinois/Indiana border, and you couldn't flush the toilets or urinals or drink the water. Professional. My friend Brian stopped at this rest area over a month later, and they still had the same problem. A man in the rest area loudly explained to the other people in his party that "I ain't thirsty, I just gotta use the shitcan." I wish I'd been there for that.

"Take It on the Run, Part Two: Crawfordsville, Indiana." Scanning the radio stations again, I managed to strike Speedwagon Gold a second time, same song even. This time, I was exiting into Crawfordsville.

Back home. This is the building that houses my apartment. My window is the one on the top far right. Kyle's is the one to the left of that one.
