On October 19th, 2001, I decided to take a trip to visit my friends Brian and Kristine and Josh and Tara in Iowa. Josh and Tara lived in Davenport, which is right across the state line from Illinois, and Brian and Kristine lived up in Dubuque, about sixty or seventy miles north of Davenport, right across the state lines from both Illinois and Wisconsin.
By the time I got to Champaign, Illinois (after leaving from Advance, Indiana), I decided to stop and get a disposable camera to document the trip. Soon enough, I found that I was taking far too many pictures for one camera to do the job that I decided on-- a comprehensive series of pictures giving one detailed impressions of what the trip was like for me. I went alone, borrowing my mom's car because mine was in bad shape, definitely not in any condition for a six-hour-plus trip.
I ended up taking four cameras' worth of pictures. Since I don't have a scanner, I decided to get the pictures processed with a Kodak PhotoCD. I present the images here in their preset "medium" resolution, with no doctoring.
