DRIVING   DIRECTIONS  

We are just west of the town of Elizabeth, Illinois and east of Galena. Both are located on U.S. Route #20. After making your way to either of these lovely towns, just follow the directions below to
the Wild Turkey

From Elizabeth, drive west on U.S. Rt. #20, about 7 miles, to The Galena Territory and Eagle Ridge Inn entrance, marked by a large limestone wall . Turn right into The Galena Terrritory and follow directions below.

From Galena, drive east on U.S. Rt. #20, about 5 miles, to The Galena Territory and Eagle Ridge Inn entrance, marked by a large limestone wall . Turn left into The Galena Terrritory and follow directions below.

From Galena Territory entrance (see photo on right), drive toward the "General" golf course clubhouse. Shortly after passing the clubhouse, turn right onto Blackhawk Trace. After 2 miles on Blackhawk Trace you will arrive at a stop sign , angle slightly right and the road name changes to Wachter Road. Continue on Wachter Road for a mile and a half and you will reach the Clark Lane crossing intersection. Turn right and stay on Clark Lane for one mile where you will find The Wild Turkey on your right. That wasn't too bad was it? And, it is a pretty drive most of the time.
