Preparation
					Your altar For your altar you can use anything with a flat top that is stirdy. It can be anything from an table to a trunk. Be creative, decorate your table, decorate the room or surroundings Insence Burning an inscence stick while doing your candel magick is oppsional. An inscence burning represence air,and i don't believe it is really necisarry. However if you want to make sure you balance air (inscence) with the other elements: earth (place a leaf or rock on the altar), fire (the candel flame), water (have a bowl of water on the altar). Preparing for the practitioner Prior to your spell have a relaxing bath  add a handful of sea salt. Light a few candels and turn off the light. Clear your mind of anything that toubles or interferes. It is extreamly important that you are free of negativity and relaxed in any spell working. Types of candles Any candle can be used in candle making as long as the color represents the spells intent and the candles have been clensed before use. If possible use bees wax candles, because they are natural and free from artificial substances. It would be even more powerful if the candles were hand crafted by the practitioner (you can by candle making kits *including bees wax* at most craft stores. Clensing the candles Clensing is a very important step when preparing for candle magick as it clenses all negitivity from the candles. To clense submerge the candle (do this step one at a time with the candles) in sea salt mixed with water then ask the lord and lady to bless it. If you want make up your own speech to the lord and lady, but make sure it comes from the heart....YOUR heart. Dressing the candle Dressing the candle basicly involves annointing it with oil. You can use the oil that the spell asks you to use or you can use the oil that you prefer. To bring something to you rub the oil in a downward direction from the top to the middle to the bottom to the middle. To send something away from you, rub the oil from the middle of the candle out ot the ends. Dab the remaining oil from your fingers on to your third eye and your breast bone then say the following: "I clense and consecrate this candle in the name of the lord and lady. May it burn with strenght in the service of the light." Then state the intent or the purpose of the candle. Inscribing If you inscribe your candle you should use your athame. The same principle of dressing the candle is used.... To bring something to you write from the top to the middle to the bottom, then from the bottom to the middle To send something away from you write from the mddle to the ends.
