Scully Marathon 2001 is worldwide event, being organised by the OBSSE and the Gillian Anderson Website(GAWS), is simple: sit and watch 12 or 13 Scullycentric X-Files episodes.
People who attend are encouraged to make a donation themselves as well as getting others to sponsor them for the day. All proceeds will benefit Neurofibromatosis, Inc., a organization which provides both support and services to individuals and families dealing with the genetic disorder. NF Inc. works closely with clinical and research professionals who specialize in the treatment of NF.
You can either have a solo marathon in the comfort of your own home at any time during May (NF Awareness month) or you can join a group marathon, which are taking place in the United States and seven other countries.
