Kavitha The noblest thoughts that ever flowed through the hearts of men are contained in its extraordinary, imaginative, and musical mixtures of sounds. And that's what you've set yourself out to conquer Eliza. And conquer it you will…. - Professor Higgins in My Fair Lady
Kavitha was one of the most popular singers in her school band, Tech Music at PSG Tech, Coimbatore. Once on the stage and behind the microphone, she is a total crowd pleaser. In one instance, at a cultural meet, she impressed the audience and judges to such an extent that they created a prize especially for her. She has held many a college crowds in beguilement with either her peppy numbers like Dilruba or Margo, or the more sensuous ones like ‘Anubhavam puthumai…’
She gets her love and talent for music from her grandmother who is a composer and singer. She started singing light music from 1994. Although she has not been formally trained, she sure has all the right genes and is a natural. Lately, Kavitha has started taking formal Classical lessons with Ragavan Manian. She likes to experiment with new voices and a variety of songs. She sings over a wide range of voices, and adds to it, a little of herself, for the audience to enjoy. |
