To oldest son John and hrs., real estate. Residue of estate to rest of children equally.
Ex.: Son-in-law Isaac Shamwell: in case of his mortality son James to act.

I, William Thorn of Charles County in the Province of Maryland being sick and weak in body, but of perfect mind and Memory, Do make and ordain this my last will and testament in Manner and form following. That is to say, First and Principally, I Bequeath my Soul to God, trusting through the Merits of my Blessed Saviour to have free Pardon and Remission of all my Sins, and my Body to the Earth to be decently buried. As for such Worldly Goods it hath pleased God to bestow upon me, I bequeath in manner following.

Item - To my daughter Elizabeth, my own bed, with all its furniture, A Sett of Curtains and Valyons, a young mare and a cow yearling.

Item - To my daughter Elizabeth, one Chest and her choice of the Pewter dishes, a large Pewter Basin, and her choice of the Iron Pots.

Item - I bequeath unto my son William Thorn, the next choice of the beds, with all its furniture, the Buccaneer's Gun, a chest, - the next choice of the Pots, my newest suit of clothes, and my Castor Hatt.

Item - I give and bequeath unto my son William Thorn, one cow yearling.

Item - I give and bequeath unto my eldest son John Thorn and his heirs forever, all my lands with all the Houses and Edifices thereon and no more.

Item - I give and bequeath to the Rest of my children all the rest or remainder of my movable Estate, to be Equally Divided amongst them, hereby constituting my son-in-law, Issaac Shamwell executor, of this my last will and testament. But in case of his Mortality, then my son James Thorn to be my Executor. Hereby Revoking and Disannulling all former wills by me made, I have herewith Set my hand affixed my seal this Twenty Second day of November 1737
