Filming is Finished!
The filming of Through Hike was completed in September. Everyone involved learned a lot and had fun.

Primary filming was done in a grueling week in August. Long days and nights, little sleep, blistering hot days, bouncing spiders, rattle snakes, rocks slides, and practical jokes were just some of the challenges the cast and crew had to face. "Everyone had to be sick of lugging the equipment everywhere. We were out in the woods, so the cameras, audio equipment, lights, props, everything had to be carried by hand. That's not easy when you have to hike a few miles up and down hills from scene to scene," director Norris comments. The cast and crew slept in tents, when they got a chance to sleep.

"We had a few casulties during the movie," Norris jokes. "I lost my oil pan and transmission housing on my car from the dirt road. We also had to destroy a perfectly good tent, and Jake's tie-dyed shirt will never be the same. And that watermellon...no one wanted to eat that thing when we were done with it." Fortunately, no cast or crew members were seriously hurt throughout the rigors of filming.

Throughout August and September, the final scenes were shot.

After a much needed break, editing has begun. "I really needed some time off after we were done filming. I was drained, and couldn't put my best effort into the editing. I'm glad I waited to start editing, because I am thrilled with the progress being made," states Norris.

Currently, the rough cut is over half-way completed, and the musical score is being written.
