Ashley was born April 9,
1986, and has been involved with softball since she was
old enough to hold a bat and ball. Her grades are as
lofty as her pitching talents. Beginning with 2nd grade,
she was selected to the prestigious Wicomico Co. magnet
program, an accelerated study facility for select
individuals. Ash maintained academic achievment awards
throughout the program. Ash graduated in June of 2004. Softball, particularly pitching, is her first love in sports, and her goals are to play at the college level, and teach. Already building quite a reputation for herself with her uncanny control and power, Ashley has received letters of encouragement from many colleges and universities. Being selected to pitch for your Varsity Softball team is always an honor, but while still in the 8th grade? This has been a major thrill for Ashley, She had pitched her first High School shutout before she was 14 years old. Numerous accolades have been awarded to her in her career, and she has achieved quite a bit. She twice made the finals of the Little League State Championship, won the Junior League State Championship, played in the Junior League Eastern Regionals in Syracuse, Ny, won the 1999 14U ASA Central Atlantic Regional Championship in which she pitched and won 5 games out of the 7 game sweep. She started pitching 14U as a 5th grader. She had a string of 15 consecutive All Star wins, which was a local record. She was 2nd Team All Conference pitcher as an 8th grader, 1st Team All Conference pitcher as a 9th grader, All State pitcher as a 9th grader, has won numerous Travel Ball tournaments, competed in 4 World Series, and along with her prior team Milford Magic 16U received a final ranking in 2000 of 1st in Delaware, 1st in Region II, and 8th in the world by the NSA. She has had a feature piece done by WMDT-TV47, and been named Athlete of the Week by 3 different newspapers several times. She has earned the following high school athletic honors: 4 time All Henlopen Conference Pitcher 2 Time All State Pitcher 2 Time All Mason Dixon Team 2002 Mason Dixon Player of the Year She plays travel ball with the Riviera Beach Spirit 18U Red. Ashley currently stands about 5'6" and weighs 135 lbs.She resides with her parents at 401 Lincoln Ave. Delmar, De 19940 She has recently signed with South Florida Community College for a full scholarship. |
