Winter Concessions Prove Popular

A big thank you to all the parents and students who have helped at the Basketball games and Wrestling matches. So far this season, we’ve made over $5,000, which will be used for Allocations, but there are many more opportunities to help. If you would like to volunteer to work, please email me at jmichaux@neismichaux.com or call me at 354-1471. Thank you again for the generous donation of your time.
Jill A.Michaux, Concessions Chair

After Prom News
The After Prom Committee is seeking volunteers and donations for the After Prom party, which this year will be on May 1 (&2). We need several parents of sophomores and freshman to volunteer to be on the planning committee, with the idea that they will continue the next year (or 2 or 3) in a committee role. Meetings usually begin in the Fall, with 1-2 meetings during the first semester. Second semester, the meetings pick up in frequency the closer it gets to the party. The meetings are usually held at 5:00 or 5:30, before the Booster Club meetings. Please volunteer to help in this very worthwhile and FUN activity. If you would like to do so or want more information, please call Sid Edwards (267-5160) or Evie Unkefer (232-5968). ALSO, the Prize committee is looking for prize donations. Specifically, we would like to have donated tickets (2-4) for one or two ROYALS games or WIZARDS games. If you would like to donate either of these, or know of someone who might be willing to do so, please call (267-5160) or email (sid.edwards@greenbush.org) Sid Edwards. We will be most happy to accept any other prize donations as well.

New This Year in After Prom
A Set-up and Tear Down Committee has been formed to create the setting for this year’s theme, and just as importantly to take down the set and haul away the props. Anyone is invited to participate in this important effort. Come early on Saturday (usually 8 am) and stay the day to set-up, then go home and take a rest until 4 am, Sunday for the tear down, or come to one or the other. You will be well fed (we’ll have snacks and sandwiches throughout the day, and breakfast elsewhere for those brave and hearty souls willing to work with tear down, or who have worked on/at After Prom.) Remember, a task shared is a task lessened, so please help make this rewarding task easier for everyone involved.

Wanted: More Parents to join Booster Club!!
Booster Club can be a parent or guardian’s best link to what’s going on at THS! Our monthly meetings generally last about an hour. In addition to coordinating our fund raising efforts, our meetings give members an important “insiders” view to what’s going on at THS. We begin each meeting with a very brief presentation by a student group–usually one receiving Booster Club funding. Mr. Clardy Vinson, principal, and Dr. Linda Wiley, associate principal, attend our meetings and keep us informed about happenings in the building and in the district. Mr. Rick Benke, activities coordinator, also attends and keeps us posted on athletic events and other activities. We then go through our committee reports and business. It’s a great way to meet other parents and find out about THS. JOIN NOW! The membership form is on-line at the THS Booster Club website http://www.oocities.org/thsboosterclub/membershipform.html, or contact Cindi Buck, 234-6290.

Fun things from the Website
Take a look at the THS Booster Club FANStore where you can view Spirit Wear items which can be purchased at the games. http://www.oocities.org/thsboosterclub/fanstore.html
Items will be added so keep checking back.
