The photo at the left shows the north end of the track, the hill region, with the shoulders in place, the track tuned and painted, and some of the preliminary landscaping starting to take shape. |

This shows an overview of the track layout during the construction stage. All of the cork shoulders have been laid, but the track in the foreground is still in the process of being filled and sanded. To the left you can see the drivers stations have already been mounted and the wiring has been completed. |

The drivers stations are all color coded to the lane, with the band across the top representing the lane color. The hook-ups are also coded. The plate is made of clear plexiglass and painted on the back side. The switches are for the brakes (on/off) and for the direction of travel, with off in the center. This way the track can be run in both directions. |

Even though the construction stages of ThunderRoad Speedway are not complete, I have not been able to resist doing a little bit of landscaping, in a small confined area, just to see what it is going to look like, and at the same time, to give you a little "teaser" of things to come in the future. |
