HORSERADISH
armoracia lapathifolia CAUTION DO NOT TAKE LARGE QUANITIES of horseradish at one time. Stop taking if diarrhea or night sweating occurs. Feel free to grow it - the only trouble is, once it starts, it's about as hard to get rid of as Jerusalem artichokes. Both propagate from the roots, which means that when you cut it, you get more, not less! Planting Horseradish. No trouble in getting it established. Divide the roots and transplant it to other parts of the gardens. Starte with a root cutting. Dig a hole like you would any other bush plant about 6 inches deep. Plant the root and fill the hole in about 3/4 full. The small dip will be for watering if needed. You use the root in making horseradish sauce. ACTIONS AROMATHERAPY CONDITIONS |
