The guys in JDRK decided to run one more race in Valle.
Since this race did not count in any cups the participation was low.
The track was cold and wet, so the organizers decided to run only 1/8-Mile. This was a new experience for us. The traction was very low, with lots of wheelspin. It was impossible run any consistent times. We were not even able run under the index.
However Morten did qualify 2nd behind our good friend Øyvind Marheim.

The race was a little bit amputated, because two of the five cars had to go home with transmission troubles.
Quite strange since the traction was so low.
Morten won against Terje Håkonsen in his Hemi Challenger in the first round.
Morten and Øyvind then had solos in the semis. Both drivers ran through that without problems.
And so we were in our first final!
The grip had during the day become a little bit better, and both drivers made good starts. Morten crossed the 1/8th mile mark first, but broke out for the first time during the race.
So a deserved win for Øyvind "Bashful" Marheim, and as usual he did not dare to go and receive his price! He is too shy for that!
