Angus and Dundee Battalion
welcomes all applications to be or want to train to be an adult
instructor in the Army Cadet Force from men and women.
In order to join us, you will need to be physically fit, be
aged between 18 and 55, and be a British or Commonwealth citizen
resident in the UK. You don't need previous military experience
to join, although it helps, in any case full training will
be given. However, you will need to be committed. You will
have to attend usually 2 parade nights a week, a weekend once
a month and Annual camp for 2 weeks in the summer.
First you will have to attend a selection weekend where fitness
and teamwork will be accessed by a board consisted of the
commandant, CEO, the training Major and the company commanders.
At the end of the weekend you will attend an interview in
front of the board giving them a presentation on the acf.
If successful you will be appointed to the ACF as a Potential
Instructor (PI) and placed to a detachment for a period of
probation and in-service training prior to attending an Initial
Training Course ("ITC"). The ITC aims to provide
you with the basic knowledge you will need to instruct cadets,
and is taught and administered by specialist members of the
Regular Army. On successful completion of the ITC, a PI will
be granted the rank of Sergeant Instructor ("SI").
Finally, there is reward and an enormous sense of satisfaction
in a worthwhile job well done.
Are YOU someone who can meet this challenge and inspire others
to achieve?
