Hi! My name is
Brenda and I have created this site
for my good friend Gerry's birthday which was April 27. I wanted to give her
something special that would be enjoyed by her for a long time.
Gerry and I go back a long
way. I was maid of honor in Gerry and Jim's wedding and she
was maid of honor for Ron and I. Until seven years ago, we lived
two doors from each other. I used to tease her that "Two
Doors Down they were laughing, singing and having a ball" just like
Dolly Parton's song! We always celebrated our birthdays, vacations
and any other important events together. It was always pretty neat
that our birthdays were one day apart and we ended up married to
brothers (go figure!). In the past seven years due to living
further away from each other (they are now about 25 miles from us) and
the time constraints of work, hubby, my children and grandchildren and
other obligations that tend to eat up time, we have not been as close as
we once were.
Gerry is a person that does not toot
her own horn. She is a very giving person and would do
anything for anyone - no questions asked! She has a kind
heart and is very, very sensitive. Her best friend passed
away almost two years ago and it has been very hard for her.
Gerry loves to cook, do all kinds of crafts, and enjoys being
around friends. She has an eye for decorating that just
amazes me. She has spent most of her adult life taking
care of children. All of the children in the family just
adore her and Jim! Her and Jim have no children of
their own, but I have always kinda figured God knew what he was doing
because they have partially raised her niece and they have been there
for so many children in and out of the family. Gerry always
remembers special things about people and it takes a special person to
be so attentive. She always seems to know just what you would like
and will take the time to either make or find that special something for
whomever she is bestowing her gift upon.
They both have a wonderful sense of
humor and it's a good thing - Jim's birthday was a month before
mine (his March - mine was the day after Gerry's - April 27) and I
added a birthday page to this site to "honor" Jim
turning 50! Hehe~ Don't want him to forget how old he
is! If you would like to "rub-it-in" take a minute
to sign the guestbook on his birthday
page!
You will find
links at the bottom of each page throughout the site to aid in
your visit. If you are looking for graphics to aid in
website creation, please feel free to visit my site - Brenz
