"RAFIKI" African meaning:  "friend or companion"

Hello...My name is Rafiki....I can't say it yet I'm only 4 months old ya' know...but I'm learning!  My owner talks alot in case you didn't know!!!  She says she'll put pictures of me on this site and if she gets off of EBAY I'm sure she will...I also live with a little cockatiel named Taina that looks "very appetizing" I haven't been allowed to find that out for sure yet...keep ya' posted on that...

First bath at my new house after I flew the coop...well I didn't fly really...I couldn't even FEED myself back then!!  I really needed this bath after being covered with baby food !  Thoughts on first day home... I like this Lady ... I think I will keep her!!

You can see I wasn't feathered here just pretty much covered with "down"  I did have little red spikes that would soon be my red tail feathers.  I liked Daddy back then too...Now...not so much....

My owner mixed me up shakes with Zupreem pellets, baby bird formula, and fruit...boy were they good...She fed me from a spoon and it worked out great.  I gave her no trouble at all...The hardest part was getting the temperature just right...She didn't want to burn me...did I tell you she was nice??

I was 7 weeks old here in this picture taking my bath.  Now I am 6 Months I say "hello" and I am mumbling alot.  I am really working on my "voice"  I whistle alot and repeat whistles my owner taught me.  I learned the beginning of "jingle bells" .   I got my wings clipped after 2 weeks of flying...I guess landing right on their HEADS and BACKS wasn't such a good idea...I could have kept my flight feathers a bit longer...oh well....Now all I can do is land and hope for smooth landing!

Here I am at 8 Months old...I like to sit up on top of my cage and flap my wings wildly while I hold on for dear life since they clipped my "landing gear"
