Returning from a visit to Ganatek Hold, you spot an elegent yet strong brown dragonet sunning by the weyr lake. You curiously ask your green to tell you who the dragon is. That is R'mar's brown Unipoeth. (Pronounced U-ni-po-th) You smile and ask your dragon to land near the brown as you notice R'mar leaning agenst his brown's strong neck odviously tired from the work of bathing Unipoeth. You chuckle as you remember the day you meet him and he was searched. R'mar seems to have seen you coming, as he gets up and dusts off his damp swim cloth of the sand which stuck to it. As you come in for you're landing the 19 turn old Harper turned brownrider waves to the two of you. "Afternoon, Trith, C'fron," he calls out. You dismount Trith and walk over to grasp your young friend's arm in greeting. "How goes weyrling hood, Senior Journyman Harper Brownrider?" you ask with a smirk. R'mar cringes at the huge title causing you to laugh, "Too long of a title for you, R'mar? Well I guess with you having the name of Ralamar before you impressed you'd like shorter titles." "You're right there, C'fron," he replies to you rufully, "If you have to use my old Harper title with it just say Harper and not the Senior Journyman part." I think the whole title is fine, personaly, you hear Unipoeth reply so you can also hear. You vaggly think his voice sounds like a handsom bass version of R'mar's. Good after noon, C'fron. And to you as well Trith. How was your visit with your sister? You smile at the brown remebering such a thing as unimportiant as some other rider's sister. "It was a nice visit and Crisma's doing fine, thank you, Unipoeth," you smile, "When I see her next, I'll tell her that you asked about the visit." you then turned back to the brownrider, "So do you think you'll answer my question today, R'mar? Or maybe in a sevenday?" R'mar chuckles as he motions you to follow him to his weyr and odviously gives his brown a mental signal to do the same, "Oh it's hard work and all but I can't deny that I love doing it with Poe around. WHOAH!!!" R'mar suddenly trips and starts to take a nose dive for the sand. Before he can hit though, Unipoeth's neck catches his rider and R'mar grins sheepishly. "I see your dragon seems to be a bit more cordinated than you?" you chuckle and R'mar gives you a mock glare, "Well be glad he choose you at the hatching, if he hadn't you might have had sand burns on more than your feet by now." R'mar chuckled and scratched Unipoeth's eyeridges in thanks. No dragon would get R'mar but me on those sands. I would have fought to the death had another wanted my rider. You smile at the brown dragonet's words. "As I'm sure every dragon feels at hatching though not many act upon the instinct," you smirk, "And have you finally gotten down the names of every one in your weyrling class yet?" R'mar almost took another fall at this statement and looks at you in disbelief. "You gotta be kiddin'," he almost shouted, "There's 31 riders in that class not including myself!" You chuckle and look at the sun in the sky. "Well, R'mar, we better go," you tell him as you hop back onto your green at the entrance to R'mar's weyr, "Thread falls soon and Trith and I should get ready. We'll see ya' as you're thown in the firestone lines." R'mar groaned as you had when you went through weyrling training. Firestone Throws were never a favorite among any weyrlings though it payed off in the end. He suddenly grins as he remembers something. "I forgot to tell ya'," R'mar grins, "Thanks for the lift a few months back to Naronis Weyr, Kare was very happy with the fire-lizard egg I gave her for her birthday. She was really surprised though when it hatched and turned out to be her bronze fire-lizard Conrim." "You're welcome, R'mar. See ya' later!" you call and Trith launches into the air. |

You walk into R'mar's and Unipoeth's weyr and are suddenly playfuly attacked by a young fire lizard. Leave my rider be, little cousin! He comes to visit your master. your green tells the little flitter gently yet at the same time forcefuly. The fire lizard chirps and flys off towards the dragon's weyr. For a moment you look on in wonder, the little flit was an odd coloring: grayish with splotches of either dark gold or light bronze. You follow the flit into the brown dragon's weyr and find R'mar leaning agenst his dragon in a half sleep. His white hair masks his eyes and you can just barely see the three lines of beads that are attached near the base of his neck underneath the majority of his hair. As the fire lizard aproches R'mar chirping happly, the 20 turn old man puts out his arm for his fire lizard to land on. So he isn't asleep you think with a chuckle before speaking, "Tired, Harper Weyrling R'mar?" In answer R'mar raises his free hand to his three strands of beads and flicks them back with his thumb. He looks up at you with a grin, his coal-blue eyes dancing. "Not really, C'fron," he tells you yet stays at his brown's side lazly, "It's just that we've been on errions all day for the weyrling master. Guess he might think we're the best, or at least most careful, of our clutch when going between." I think it's because I am a brown and you are a brownrider. After all, D'tol is brown Easoth's rider, why would they not like brown pairings, Unipoeth comments. Both of you chuckle. "So flying and between came easy to the both of you?" you ask a bit surprised. "C'fron, I may be a klutz on the ground but in the air," he pauses for a moment and sighs happly, "everything just comes together." "So ya' ready to join a wing soon and fight the menace we call Thread?" you ask seriously. Upon the word "Thread," the brown dragon's eyes suddenly start to whirl a deep red-orange as he stood up quickly causing R'mar to fall backwards. Where is Thread, I will fight it now! Unipoeth snorted. "I think he's ready," the young man said pointing to the underside of his brown, "and if he is I guess I am too." At this moment you spot the fire lizard again, odviously he'd escaped the fall and he chittered at R'mar. "So where'd ya' get the fire lizard?" you ask pointing at the oddly colored beast as both dragon and rider settled again. "Oh, you remember that All Hollow's Eve Gather we went to at Saphire Weyr," you nod remembering the story another harper friend of yours told there, and the joke you helped him play, "Well, I got one of the eggs they were giving away at the celebration and well, he popped out." "You sure it's a he?" Rayvan is male, remember C'fron dragon's can tell. Unipoeth tells you and you grow a bit sheepish, "Sorry for a moment I forgot R'mar had you, Poe." "We'll as I've heard, most of the gather's fire lizards that hatched were odd colorings," the brownrider tells you and then continues on thoughtfuly, "I think Rayvan had trouble deciding what he'd be in the shell and in the end turned up being mostly a silvery white with light bronze splotches all over him." "Very intersting," you smile and then pound your fist into the palm of your other hand, "Oh, I almost forgot, Headwoman Kila wanted me to do something for her, I'll see you around, brownrider. Unipoeth." "Good day to you too, C'fron," R'mar calls after you, "And say hi to Trith for us." |
