| The reproductive system allows the body to produce children. It all starts inside the woman ovaries when an egg develops in it. Then the sperm cells inside the men travels to the egg inside the woman. Only one sperm can enter at a time. When it does, fertilization occurs(ovum.) genetic material from the man and the woman combine to add the newborn's characteristics and creates the first offspring egg. The fertilized egg travels through the fallopian tube when it eventually reaches uterus, where the fetus develops over 9 month period. After that, a baby is ready to be born. |
