| Chapter Twenty-four "I'm sorry about your break-up AJ, you should try to keep that in check though. You're lucky I didn't kick your ass out of my house." I said laughing softly. "I would really like to get to know you though, you seem like you could be fun. And it's always nice to have a new friend." "You can never have too many friends, I know that. Thank you for giving me another chance Tiffany." He leaned over and hugged me softly then sat back. "So now what?" "Well, why don' you tell me about yourself?" So he did, and then I told him about me. Both of us cried that night and shocked ourselves with the things we told each other. We laughed and woke up the others a few times and by the time the sun was coming up we were close friends. As we were getting breakfast started there was a knock at the door. AJ answered it for me and Carly came in a few minutes later. "Hey, it's about time you came to see me!" I exclaimed hugging her. "Why didn't you come when the guys were here?" "Chris and I split up, he didn't tell you?" "No he didn't say anything to me. What happened?" "I just couldn't handle having a life like that. Him always gone, me always at home. I need a boyfriend that can be there for me, not be halfway across the country when I need him most." She sighed and sat down. "Well, you can find a million guys like that I'm sure. Are you hungry?" She nodded and got a soda from the fridge. "How long are you staying with me?" "Just a couple of days. I have to get back to work." The three of us had breakfast together and were cleaning up when the other four came in. I introduced her to everyone and they were pleased to see that AJ and I had worked things out. We spent most of the morning discussing the video and getting everything ready to start shooting the next day. That night we went to a quiet restaurant and then came home to watch movies. Around 11 everyone was starting to doze off and slowly made their way up stairs to bed. I wanted to get some more work done to prepare for the video and went to my office after everyone was sleeping. AJ came in around 1 and sat with me for about an hour before dragging me away from my desk. "Aren't you supposed to be on vacation?" "Yes, but this video is important to me, and I want everything to be perfect for tomorrow." I smiled. "Plus this is a working vacation, no rest for the wicked." "Well you aren't working anymore tonight, you need some sleep." He moved me onto the sofa so that he was sitting behind me and started to rub my shoulders. "Oh you did it now, you can never stop." I sighed settling back against him. "I can give you a paying job doing this for a living if you like." "Um, well hon I don't think you could afford me." He laughed. He got very quiet and I started to doze off. Suddenly I felt his hand on my neck moving my hair to my shoulders. He kissed me gently on the neck still massaging my shoulders, then turned me so that I was facing him. He cupped his hand under my chin and kissed me, gently at first, then I felt his tongue on my lips and opened my mouth to allow him to deepen the kiss. He shifted and was lying on top of me before I came to my senses, and pushed him off. "AJ we have to stop. I have a boyfriend." I sighed pulling myself away from him. "TIff you weren't fighting me. I know that much at least." "I know that, but I wasn't thinking, I don't know what I was doing. We can't do this." I said pushing his hand away as he was trying to rub my leg. "I can tell you enjoyed it Tiff, why fight it?" He moved close to me again and kissed me softly. The kiss was amazing but I knew that I loved Joey and this was nothing compared to the way his kisses made me feel. "AJ please stop." I exclaimed standing up. "I like you, you are a great friend and I would like to keep it that way." |
