Camp Lambec 1999

Every year I go to music camp at the Christian camp, Camp Lambec. We spend one week at the camp, from the second Sunday in July to that Friday. We spend 2 hours and 45 minutes each day practicing for choir and 2 hours each day practicing for the band. At the end of the week, we provide a worship service for the parents and visitors, complete with acting parts and solos. During the day, we split into groups based on age to have Bible study and the choir director's husband, who is a preacher, gives a sermon at night. We also have an evening program, usually some type of game. Monday and Tuesday aren't always the same, but our traditional game of Capture the Flag (after dark, of course)is played on Wednesday night and Thursday night is normally skit night. One year they brought in a Christian group to perform a concert for us.
This is the choir.

The band was too large for one picture, so we had to get 2 instead.

The vale is the site of many strange happenings during our week there. It is the home of our Capture the Flag game, this year's choir concert in front of the church, the waterslide, and, of course, the Dancing in the Vale performed by my cabinmates at 7:00 in the morning when Pete and Dave kindly wake up the camp with their radio station, "God Rocks!" (They claim to have only had one complaint this year total, but I don't quite believe that.)
