Gill (the voice of Willem Dafoe) is the only other fish besides Nemo who came form the ocean. He badly wants to get back but so far none of his escape plans had worked. He is willing to do what ever it takes to escape the tank even use his friends even though they might get injured.

Moorish Idol Fish resemble the Butterfly Fish but are more closely related to the Surgeon Fish. Its body is taller than it is long and it has a long snout. Its dorsal fin, which is long and flowing, shortens as it gets older. They can grow to be about 8 or 9 inches long. Moorish Idol fish can be found from Hawaii to Australia and from the west coast of Central America to the coast of Africa and the Red Sea.
