Danial and Philip and I sat in the park last night, late yesterday afternoon, actually, before during & after sunset. It must have been around seven p.m. The park was full of people of course, weekend, you know, is the bomb (Gawd that sounds affected). Children run and play without any problems with their language. Men bent over their chess tables -- there are some fairly new, less than a year or so... gotta check the old diary to find when they built them... (CHARLOTTE?). Men bent over their chess tables.
We three gringos sat and listened to the sweet sound of Spanish flowing all around us like some smooth river over cobblestones in the wind... well, there wasn't much wind, just a faint autumn breeze... except Phil reminded us it aint autumn yet, not until the what... 23 September 2003 at 1047 GMT, 6:47am EDT, 3:47am PDT oh yeah... thanks Phil. Dunno. That CSS -- it's a kvetch all that new coding. Am tempted just to stick with old HTML no matter all the deprecated tags eh. Besides I wanna go south again soon.

Do we want to deliver for our readers? Claro que sí. Yes of course.
Whatever we de-live-r, we deliver, whether good or bad.
But do we want to de-live-r the goods, or the bads? The truth is both. We want to inform and entertain. Truth and fiction. And we want to deliver information with a stiff merangue, or glaze, of mischief. We want to be truth-tellers in sarcastic clothing, fictional tuxedoes cut from the cloth of reality.
We want to be true servants, but dressed up like picaros, yes? Yes.
Not picaros dressed up as true servants, no. We want to be Sheep in Wolf's clothing, NOT Wolves in Sheep's clothes....
FIRST, to live up to this ideal we need to GET RID of any of those flushlinger "under construction" BS notices UNLESS we are actually working on it... like Charlotte is working on "Get Out of Town" this month.
"under construction" is an insult and an incovenience to the reader. Better to say nothing at all if we have nothing there to say only sorry we don't have that yet... I am going to vomit if I find another one of those hanging around in some back corner of the site labyrinth....
And as for the links, gentlemen, start your engines and drive off the cliff if we DO NOT get some consistency here! Are we going to target="_blank" or what? That is, do we open a new page on every clicked link, or not? Or only on some? Or do we create target="_dummy whatever" pages... or do we.... Dudes, dudes, dudes (and Charlotte in absentia in the park tonight instead at home making candlelight supper with Karl) (ahem)....
I tell you we MUST decide our link strategy NOW before we get too far down the road into MESOAMÉRICA and loose ourselves among the ruins... look, there goes Dano right now wandering back to the pyramids....
