TILT SKATE PROGRAM 2003
Remember... skate in control... skate safe! Meet at the Waterside Sports Club, 255 Queens Quay E, (free parking) at
8:30pm when we will skate over to Ashbridges Bay Park along the new
Lakeshore Blvd. trail to watch the fireworks. This will be a relaxed pace
skate open to all skaters - no cost for this event. Please remember
helmets, wrist guards and flashing lights and/or lighted wheels as it will
be dark on the return skate. Skate will be cancelled in the event of rain.
Check infoline for any last minute changes - 416-564-9412. Our Wednesday night skate is a blast... through the streets that is! Come and join us every Wednesday night for a rolling exploration of the streets and neighbourhoods of Toronto. This skate can take up to 2.5 hrs and easily cover 20 - 25 km. Bring/wear bright coloured clothing, your protective gear and as many funky, blinky lights as you can wear. This is an aggressive skate with a reasonably quick pace - no slow pokes please you will get left behind. If you like to street skate then this is the skate for you. You will not be disappointed.
Friday Night Skate
Every Friday night we join Anthony Morris and The Night Skaters on a late night roll. There's nothing like plowing through the night streets of Toronto - Yorkville, Yonge & Bloor, Queen West, Richmond Street West club district, the Beaches... all in one night! This skate is a must - you have to try it at least once. Every Sunday at 11 am SHARP. Waterside Sports Club and Bistro - 225 Queens Quay East (at the foot of Sherbourne Street). We meet in the Waterside Sports Club parking lot and head out from there. Please continue to check the site for updates.
Occasionally we will start from a different location.
What: Our skates last up to 2.5 hrs. We usually travel along the lakeshore path system either East or West of the Waterside Sports Club and occasionally venture off into a street skate when appropriate. You are advised to go at your own pace. There is always a skate leader directing the group. You can make it a workout or just a casual skate. It's up to you. No beginners please. This is an intermediate to advanced skate. You must be able to negotiate obstacles, curbs, streetcar tracks, street traffic etc.
