Bust-A-Move 2 Codes
A game so good, it'll burst your bubble!!

I was very apprehensive about renting this game, considering I'm not a puzzle fan. When I took the game home, I found that I couln't put the controller down! It is easily the most addictive game I've played in a while, and is a definite must buy.
Graphically, Bust A Move 2 is very simple. The player(s) must fire certain colored bubbles at other bubbles of the same color. At first, they looked plain, but soon I noticed that the bubbles were rotating, which adds some motion to the otherwise still screen. It is unbeknownst to me why they made both yellow and orange bubbles, since they're so hard to tell them apart from each other. Any other color could have been easily substituted. A nice but short rendered cinematic graces the beginning, but adds nothing to the game. The characters are obviously Japanese in style, as they are cute, round dinosaurs. Obviously, this title is not played for its graphics.
The sounds are amusing, but tend to get annoying. At first, that bird squawk is a hoot, but it gets tiresome after a while. The same repetitive music plays over and over and over, with absolutely no variation. I feel that more could have been done to this game in the sounds department. It is really sub-par.
Bust A Move 2 borrows from the Tetris engine and, in my opinion, surpasses it. The two player competition is original in its own right, and separating blocks to be knocked off the screen is a concept that I have never seen before. The innovations in this disc make it a very addicting puzzler.
The controls in this game are very easy, employing just one button most of the time, as well as the directional pad. The L1 and R1 buttons can also be used to fine tune your shot. With simplistic yet extremely effecive controls such as these, you really can't go wrong. It's just so easy to pick up, but oh so difficult to master.
No matter how simple the controls and graphics are, no matter how cheesy the music is, this is one fun game. It is the type that can be played for days at a time against friends, and hours at a time against the computer. The thrill of sending bubbles to the opponent's side is yet unmatched!
And now for the grades...
