Running Dog

Title

Welcome to my home away from home. You're likely to find all sorts of things here, most of which will change every so often. Questions and comments are, of course, welcome. As many of you will notice, we have moved to a new location. This 'neighborhood' was recommended by GeoCities, my server, as more fitting with the theme of my page.

The page is primarily about the Warhammer Fantasy Battles game. Again, this may change with time, but I figured it was a good place to start. (Even Michaelangelo wasn't a great painter on his first try.) I decided to change the theme and format so that it wasn't just a mish-mash of info. I have also included some information about NERO-Altanta and S.O.L.A.R., live-action role-playing games that we play on weekends. I have also added a Weekly Babes page which showcases beautiful women in various states of undress (no nudity - sorry). So take a look around and enjoy.

By the way...you are visitor number Counter (since 9/1/96) according to GeoCities. Be proud. :)

Warrior In the Warhammer World, dark powers threaten the brave but fragile human kingdoms of the Old World. Chaos Champions and their monstrous followers descend from the wastelands, driven by daemons and dark magic to a war of bitter conquest. To defend themselves, the human nations - chief among them the Empire - must gather mighty armies and harness magic to its own side. But magic by its very nature warps and corrupts, turning men to monsters and fuelling the dark tide of Chaos. Against this background of desperate and destructive conflict, the human nations muster armies to compete for pre-eminence. Ferocious monsters such as the green skinned Orcs and Goblins maraud across the frontiers, looting and destroying everything in their path. In the mountains the last inhabitants of the ancient Dwarf Kingdom struggle to maintain their tentative grip on their ancient fortresses, whilst in the forests Wood Elves prepare their keen-eyed archers for renewed combat. It is a world torn apart by war, where Man, Dwarfs, and Elves must fight the eternal battle against Chaos.
NERO-AtlantaNERO is a Live-Action fantasy role-playing game (often referred to as a LARP). The "Live" part means that the action that normally takes in your imagination and the imagination of your fellow players comes to life in a cross between a game and a stage play. The basics of tabletop roleplaying are still there, but instead of imagining yourself fending off a group of orcs with your trusty sword and then rolling some dice to see what happens, YOU are actually fending off a group of orcs (actually players like yourself, who are taking their turn being monsters) with your trusty foam-rubber sword. The results are based upon both your skill and your character’s skill with that sword.
WizardSOLAR derives its roots from the same game in Boston, Mass. as NERO-Atlanta, but since then has gone on to create its own rules. Many of the people who play SOLAR can also be found at NERO events. Starting in 1997, SOLAR (which is based in Georgia but draws players from Florida, Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi, Kentucky, N. & S. Carolina, and Ohio) will be starting a second campaign called Shadowmoor with an entirely new set of rules. SOLAR events typically have about 200-250 players on average, and some legends from the history books still walk the streets of Clanthia (the fantasy city where the game takes place). On your first trip to town, you can be turned into a zombie by the feared dark elf necromancer Morgrim Thaonin, fight alongside the peerless samurai Kasagi no Yuritomo, or battle the forces of evil with the mystic elven healer Lord Sebastian Greycloak. But beware the night where creatures such as the evil liche Akeem and his undead horde rule the streets and dark trails.
