You spy at the window.

Moving carefully around the building, you hear the faint sound of voices in the back. There is a window, but it is closed and covered with blinds on the inside. Pressing your ear against it, you are sure that you hear the murmur of voices. Whoever is using this building is in that room. Taking a small glass cutter out of your pocket, you remove a small circle from the window. Now the voices can be heard more clearly.

Susie at the window

"The time is near," you hear a voice say. "The Frenchman made his delivery, and Chiu says it is of good quality and usable."

Another voice says, "Well, then, the Xu Huang won't be making many more trips. We should go today. Where will it leave from? Did Chiu say?"

"Yes, the last pier. The broken one. That's why it's never used now. It won't be private, but it's not too near the fish markets."

"Good then; let's pack up what we need."

The voices grow softer as they leave the room. The Xu Huang? you think. Could it be a boat, and not a person after all? And what had Jean-Claude delivered? There's so much more to learn. You will have to go to the pier yourself.
