Mac PC Flamewar Ah, education! I earned my high school diploma at Asheville High School where I was active in the Junior Classical League. While there I was inducted into the Vocational Honors Society, the NJCL Latin Honor Society, and the National Honors Society. I spent the three summers of my high school years attending Upward Bound at Mars Hill College in Mars Hill, NC.

Thus far the entirity of my collegiate career has been at Western Carolina University which is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, as well as by the The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, the National Council for Accreditation of Teaching Education, and the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction, among others. I got my first college degree, a Bachelor of Science, in Psychology with a minor in Gerontology on May 13th, 2000. I garnered my second undergraduate degree, a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in CIS (Computer Information Systems) on May 11th, 2002. I earned my third degree, a MBA (Masters of Business Administration) on May 8th, 2004. I completed my second graduate degree, a ME (Masters of Entrepreneurship), on May 7th, 2005. Currently I'm pursuing a B.S.Ed. degree in Middle Grades Math and Science. I am a member of Beta Gamma Sigma, an international business honor society and Pi Gamma Mu, an international honor society for social sciences.

And what do I do at Western you ask? Well, I live in Leatherwood Hall. I'm involved with the By The Gate campus ministry and have been a part of that organization for over ten years now. I also fellowship with Campus Rock on a regular basis and can occasionally be found Sunday mornings at Covenant Christian Church. You might spot me catching some toons at the Anime club at the UC. I've enjoyed the last nine years working for Educational Technologies at Western, mostly in mostly in either Forsyth or Hunter Computer Labs. I'm working for the labs again so you might see me in either lab.

I guess I've lived in Asheville, NC the longest but I claim Cullowhee, NC as home. I've also lived, over the years, in Berlin, Germany, as well as Jekyll Island, GA and Ruskin, FL. Over the years I've been a member of West Asheville Presbyterian Church and Oak Forest Presbyterian Church, but my home church now is Cullowhee Presbyterian Church a member of PCUSA and the Confessing Church Movement. PRMI is an organization working for renewal within the Presbyterian Church (USA) that I support on a regular basis. Additional ministires I'm involved with include: Theophostic Prayer Ministries, Pastoral Care Ministries, and Freedom in Christ Ministries. I've attended a couple Promise Keeper conferences and I've made the last five Campus Harvests. When I get the chance I like to volunteer with S.A.B.A., which is associated with Project C.A.R.E., a part of the Department on Aging of Jackson County, NC. I have also volunteered a summer at Life Adventure Camp in Lexington, KY and two summers at Urban Promise in Camden, NJ. My mission work has not been limited to the United States: I've worked in Jamaica with Son Servants and in Nicaragua with La Vida Joven.

Mac PC FlamewarFor hard copy news I read The Smokey Mountain News, the Asheville Citizen-Times, and the Western Carolinian; I get electronic news from Rueters and Google News. I listen to 106.9 FM WMIT when I'm driving around. As far as live music goes, you can't go wrong with David LaMotte and Chuck Brodsky- I keep my eyes peeled and try to catch them in concert whenever I can, often at Soul Infusion in Sylva, NC or the Grey Eagle in Asheville, NC. Yeah, I'm pretty much addicted to these things.

Um, yes, I do occasionally watch a little television from time to time. Mostly I watch G4TV, Cartoon Network, The Learning Channel, The Sci-Fi Channel, Discovery Channel, History Channel, Food Network, and the National Geographic Channel. More specifically, the shows I try to catch (but usually miss- no TV in my dorm room:P) are: American Choppers, Monster Garage, MythBusters, Mail Call, Modern Marvels, Wild West Tech, MegaStructures, CSI, Battlestar Galactica, Stargate SG1, Stargate: Atlantis, X-Play, Cinematech, Filter, Adult Swim, and The Iron Chef.
Bowing to peer pressure, I've recently gotten an account over at Xanga which might be worth a peek. Who can say for sure?
