rtlToronto/Train1 Event

rtlToronto/Train1 Event

rtlToronto recently hosted Train1, which I was priveleged enough to attend.
David Koudys has posted many pictures from the event here.

I have copied some of them here, and added captions for your viewing pleasure.

Also, here is a Track Designer representation of the Train1 layout as best as I could estimate it.
It doesn't exactly line up, but it is the exact track structure as extracted from the pictures.

A group picture early in the day. From left to right: Ross Crawford, no name available, Tim Strutt, Oliver Giesen, Jeff Van Winden, David Koudys, Martin Legault, Ben Medinets, Iain Hendry. Calum is taking the picture.

Calum was impressed by my collection of 4537's.

Me, labelling my rolling stock.

Just for Calum, all the 4537's being pulled by his engine.

Some more of my rolling stock.

Some of my rolling stock on the tracks.

Martin's impressive turnpike, with his comm tower, farm, and my house in background.

Martin's farm, and my half-timbered house on left.

Martin's 8 wide CN locomotive & expanded Metro Station.

Jeff Van Winden's operational roundhouse.

Calum's shipping yard with some of my trucks & containers.

Various rolling stock, with a good view of my black hopper.

Calum's Metroliner with additional cars (more club cars than regular cars).

David Koudys train passing through Legault-land (how do you pronounce that Martin?).

Calum's 'Saraville'.

Me, repairing Calum's gantry after an 8 wide train tried to pass.

Overview of the layout.

Just for Chris, the classic female on the tracks scenario.
