The following are some hints for players of the Red and Blue Version of Pokemon. I have also included some info on the Pikachu Yellow Version.
HINT FOR ALL VERSIONS OF THE GAME:
Here's a tip that will make your Pokemon grow quicker and become more powerful:
- I know you want to evolve your Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle or Pikachu (in the yellow version), but here's a tip. After evolving, your pokemon's growth rate drops!
- So for example, a Level 60 Pikachu would probably thump a Level 60 Raichu. Why? Because there are some moves you can only learn in the Pikachu stage. And also, Pikachu learns techniques faster than a Raichu! So if you want to stop evolution, just press the B Button when your pokemon is evolving, to let it grow quicker and learn techniques faster. When your Pikachu has enough moves, you can evolve it with a ThunderStone.
Here's a tip TO GET THE MOST OUT OF USING YOUR EMULATED VERSION OF POKEMON:

Here's a hint for players of the Pikachu Yellow Version:
- As you might already know, at the start of the Pikachu Yellow Version, you get a Pikachu and Gary gets an Eevee. Pikachu doesn't stay inside the pokeball - it follows you around! Anyway, in the Pikachu version, all the pokemon graphics are more updated and look more like the cartoon today. So why not give it a try?
- Your first badge will be the BoulderBadge, in which you get from Brock. Pikachu's Thundershock won't even affect Brock's Geodude, so I suggest you get other pokemon eg: Pidgey, Nidoran, Caterpie, and raise it up to at least Lvl 12. If you do that to your caterpie, it will evolve into Metapod at Lvl 8 and Butterfree at Lvl 10. I recommend a level 12 Nidoran to defeat Geodude and Onix.
