This was a huge month for physical development with Lizzie. She crawls and pulls up to standing, now, without any help. She has always been alert and active, but she has gotten so BUSY this month. The changes are just amazing. It's been very pleasant weather-wise since we got down to Felsenthal, Arkansas. Lizzie can now sit facing forward in her stroller since she began sitting up by herself, so we go for long walks together, and she loves being outdoors. She's definitely a nature baby.

It's more tiring than it looks.

Health:

Elizabeth was perfectly healthy this month.

Eating Habits:

Nestle Good Start Supreme Formula - Lizzie still takes a bottle, but only in the morning and at night. Occasionally, she'll want one for an afternoon nap, too. Since she is no longer depending on formula for her main supply of nutrition, I have stopped adding the cereal as a thickener.
We gave Elizabeth a teething biscuit to chew on as a first for self-feeding. She choked on it pretty badly...so that put a stop to that.

Sleeping Habits:

9:30pm bedtime...sleeps through until 8:30am. She takes a nap at 12:30 or 1:00pm and another around 6pm. It's a very regular schedule. Icouldn't ask for a better sleeper.

Development:

Lizzie began crawling this month. It's a "low-crawl," which means that she stays down on her stomach and "swims" over the floor with her arms and toes rather than using her hands and knees. She's really quite good at this and goes fast enough to wear me out trying to follow her and keep up all day.

Visiting:

No visits this month

Elizabeth first crawled on March 15th. On March 23rd, she self-fed for the first time with a graham biscuit for teething. She loved it, but began to choke on it when it broke down a bit into pieces. She just wasn't ready for it. On April 3rd, Lizzie pulled up to a standing position for the first time. She was trying to reach some DVD cases on a window sill, but they were just out of reach. She wanted them so badly that she just reached up to grab a box in front of the window and hauled herself up.
