You’ve landed in a corner of the web universe called the Nix News Network (hence, the great big sign at the top of the screen). The Nixes are actually people, so if you’re not a personal friend or a member of their family, then you probably won’t be too interested in anything you'll find here. It’s mostly baby updates, family news, important dates, and pictures that will only thrill you if you happen to know a Nix or two. If any of that sounds like something you want to look at then, by all means, read on. We just figured we’d warn you at the top of the page so as not to waste anyone’s time. We’re kinda considerate like that from time-to-time.

To all of our family and friends, we want to throw out a huge welcome and apologize for taking so long to get this up and running. We’re hoping that these pages will be a good way to keep you all up-to-date on things without racking up huge phone bills or forgetting someone important. Also, it is one of our great hopes that the site will become a collaborative effort that all of our loved ones will contribute to. Any photographs, news, newsletters, or updates will be gratefully received and posted here at your request. You can send anything of that nature to Amy Nix's email.

For those who are new to (or even wholly unfamiliar with) web browsing, …here’s how you operate this contraption to make sure you get to see everything: As you're scrolling through this page, you will see subject titles scattered about all over the place (like the one to the right of this paragraph, here, that says, "Family Calendar" and the one above that says "Latest News"). Each of these subject titles is linked to a page about that topic. Just click on whatever sounds interesting to you, and the new page will come up for your viewing pleasure. We have designed this site to look its best when viewed at a resolution of 1024x768 pixels because that is one of the most common settings people use. If your screen looks funny because the text is too large for the screen or the images don’t line up quite “right,” then you might need to change your resolution. In addition, if you see slightly off-colored boxes or borders around some of the images on the page, then setting your monitor to display "millions of colors" will usually correct the problem. If you don’t know how to change your screen’s resolution or the color settings on your monitor, let Amy Nix know and she will be happy to assist you.

There shouldn’t be too much of the general public in here because we’re not linked out to the web at large, but since it ain’t Fort Knox in any corner of the internet, we would be remiss if we didn‘t stop for a moment and say a few words for the thick-headed dimwits of the world who have to have these things spelled out for them. So here it is...Note: If you are bound by blood-relation, friendship, cosmic currents, or court order to either Amy or Ashley Nix, then please feel free to save, copy, print, or distribute whatever you want to take from these pages. If you are not a person who would fit into such a category - well, let‘s not put too fine a point on it - why on EARTH would you want anything from this site? They have support groups for that kind of thing, you know. Don’t gank our family‘s web art and photographs. That would be wrong of you- and not just a little bit wierd. Control your urge to right-click. We Nixes will appreciate you for it.
