Abrinia was born Mary Fairchild in the nearly magicless land of Caithness. Her good fortune was to have her magical inclinations learned at an early age despite the limits of her homeland.
She was apprenticed across the border in Megalos, and early on she proved to be a formidable talent in many ways. Soon after reaching "journeyman" rank she joined a group of warriors and knights hunting a band of demon worshipping raiders, and she herself was largely responsible for the defeat of these rogues and specifically the person who captured their leader, the so called Knight-Priest Araquan and the destuction of a dark elven cult a couple of years later.
She married early and was widowed early, to Karl, Vicount of Narban. She kept the title after a relatively minor bribe, but the lands of her husband went to his sister Berthe. The two women had little enjoyment of each other's company and Mary again went off adventuring. Somewhere along the line she acquired the name Abrinia from a group of Dwarves and has taken it as her name.
(It translates roughly to "Nemesis" for what it's worth.)
She is currently living in a high mana region with several very high pockets that lies some 30 miles north of the Meagalos/Nomad land border, working with a witches coven there to make magic items.
Megalos recognizes the land as hers and counts it as part of their lands on their maps. The coven considers the Megalosian tribute to be a minor bribe to keep the Empire off their backs (and all things considered, it is a VERY minor bribe, indicative of the relative military strength of the local nomad tribes in the area.<>

Game Notes
Abinia should be conisdered a "post started" character with regard to the age/skill pts rule. She was built on 150 pts originally and then given an equal amount of experience, 3 pts of which are unspent here.
Equipment
ST 8 powerstone 2 quirks, minor. Staff enchanted baton with ST 3 powerstone. Light Leather Armor. Personal Basics, Backpack 2 weeks trail rations, waterskin with 1 quart wine. Various other adventuring gear as befits her income and/or locale.
