Submitted by Ross Davidson. If you don't want to (or are unable to) perform the "track jump" trick below, you should at least jump down the long decline, as your kart mysteriously slows if you just drive down the hill. You will also jump over any other karts who decide not to jump. This applies to the other, smaller, declines as well.
Stay on the inside lane and turbo-powerslide your whole way through. Staying inside will allow you to avoid the Chomps.
Save strings of bananas for the area where the jump is performed (see trick #1 below.) Screwing up your opponents' ability to make the jump gives you the upper hand.
Confirmed Tricks: How to Jump, Slide, and Skid Your Way to Victory
After crossing the finish line, build up speed until you get to the portion of the track right before the downward slope, and pull a sharp left turn. As you get to the fence, jump, and if aimed correctly, you will land on another portion of the track below. The farther left you push, the farther ahead on the lower track you will land, but the
harder the trick is to pull off, as it is difficult not to overshoot the track. Always break while you are in the air so that if you hit the track, you won't bounce off. A good rule of thumb for when to jump is: the lighter your guy, the earlier you should jump. This is because lighter karts carry farther, and therefore have the greatest tendency to overshoot the lower track.
