BACKGROUND:
Orb Users are powerful magic-using staffs that are one part mechanical,
one part monster. They have a "head" at the top of the staff, with two
horns and a glowing orange orb floating between the horns.
These creatures have incredibly strong physical defense, but their HP
is so low that this does not usually protect them much. They are used
as sentries by the Booster clan, and are rarely seen outside of Booster
Tower.
On a side-note, Orb Users are not fond of Kinklinks (also known as
chain chomps). These monsters have been known to mistake the Orb Users
as bones, and like to chew on them.

BATTLE PLAN:
Attack Pattern: They use a few offensive
magic attacks, as well as Recover. They can use regular attacks
as well, but they are rare.
Basic Strategies: Physical attacks are not very
strong against them, but will work. Magic attacks work very well,
as long as they aren't the ones that Orb User is "strong against".
It is wise to see if one of your stronger fighters (Mario or Geno)
can beat them with one timed hit. If they can, save your magic.
If they can't, it's sort of a toss-up as to which is better.
Bowser and Mario should definitely be able to beat them with one
hit after they find the weapons hidden for them in Booster's Tower.
Advanced Strategies: Attack these guys first.
You can often beat them in one hit (especially if you use magic
- Jump and Geno Beam are both good). In addition, they can help
other enemies recover, and they sometimes give out Max HPs, so
they are a good first target.
I haven't had much opportunity to figure out how to block these enemies
yet, so you're on your own here.
