Exactly who is Prince? First, a Ventrue, Sebastien Merlot, appears in the city with a questionable missive from Dale Raleigh granting him Praxis. Then, nary a month goes by before Praxis is claimed again, this time by Destin, longtime resident and Sheriff. Is Mr. Merlot's authorization authentic? Or is this a carefully planned coup? Will the Ventrue money pouring into the city for rebuilding vanish with this new insurrection?

Meanwhile, a new Tremere Lord is in town, demanding respect. He plans to rebuild not the city, but the Tremere's reputation among the Kindred of Gainesville.

And what's the deal with this Angel? Is she gone? Is she staying? Is she real?
