The 90 is quite possibly the worst super soaker ever made. It is even worse than the XP85. how Larami released this crap I have no idea, except that someone thought up the idea of a pulsing gun, so they couldn't put the idea to waste.
There are numerous problems with this gun.
- Range. This gun is almost the worst performer in the range category, and definitely the worst in the range/size category.
- The gimmick. The reason you would think to buy the gun is because of the pulsing. Take it from me, this is the worst gimmick ever. Triple shot sorta worked. MDS worked very well. This... is a piece of crap! it makes the output less on a gun that already has horrible output, even for an XP (1.2 oz/sec). You could just as easily pulse a gun by rapidly moving the trigger
- The design. This gun has the highest report of broken models ever. It seems prone to damage near the nozzle, and pump. It is also frickin purple and orange! shesh...
- The single pressure system. The worst system ever designed by Larami. It has 2 major drawbacks.
- the less water in the tank, the more you have to pump to keep the pressure up
- You have to depressurize the gun before you can fill it.
In short, DO NOT BUY THIS GUN UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, if you're under the expectation that this is the kind of gun to take into battle. this gun is just like the silver 50 in that collectors (like me) will want it, but people that only want/can afford to get guns for battle, stay away from this gun at all costs. your money would be much better spent on a 110, 150, or you could spend the extra 5 bucks to get the spectacular 1000.
